A new poll conducted by GrayHouse, the polling and data analytics firm founded by Landon Wall, was featured this week in the Washington Free Beacon.
The survey of 800 registered voters found strong public support for congressional efforts to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC). According to the poll:
• 55% of voters support sanctions on the ICC to protect American soldiers from potential investigations, including 42% who "strongly support" the measure.• 46% of voters also support sanctions intended to protect Israel from what some view as unfair ICC investigations.
The findings come as Congress prepares for a critical vote on ICC sanctions legislation, with widespread public support potentially influencing the final outcome in the Senate.
The Free Beacon reports:
"Broad support from the American public could help sway undecided Democratic senators to back the legislation, even though their liberal base largely opposes the effort."
GrayHouse’s polling also found that public awareness of the ICC is relatively high, with roughly 50% of respondents reporting a "great deal" or "some" knowledge of the Court and its actions.
