The Arizona Republic Quotes Landon Wall on the Race for Secretary of State
The Arizona Republic quoted GrayHouse founder Landon Wall in Stephanie Murray’s October 23 reporting on Arizona’s secretary of state race between incumbent Adrian Fontes and challenger Alex Kolodin.
Wall’s assessment focused on the challenge of earning voters’ attention. Election integrity is central to the race, but it is not a top concern for many voters this cycle. In an information environment dominated by other issues, down-ballot candidates face a difficult task getting their message heard.
“I don’t think they’re litigating these things as much as people think they are,” Wall told the Republic. “This is not what voters in Arizona are concerned about this cycle.”
Wall also criticized the visibility Fontes gains from taxpayer-funded advertising through the Secretary of State’s office. “And let’s be honest, Fontes has used the state and taxpayer dollars to promote himself,” he told the Republic.

That exposure adds to the challenge for a candidate with fewer campaign resources: reaching voters who are focused on other issues and giving them a reason to replace the incumbent.
