Axios featured GrayHouse polling today in coverage of the ongoing health care debate on Capitol Hill, reporting that our firm shared findings directly with Senate Republicans. The polling found that 31% of voters say Republicans do a better job than Democrats on health care, with 36% blaming Republicans for rising health care costs compared to 26% who blame Democrats.

"Healthcare has always been an unpopular issue for Republicans. Our polling shows that if health care is the main focus of 2026, Republicans are likely to fare poorly in the midterms," GrayHouse founder Landon Wall told Axios. "And the reality is that our data shows over 80 percent of voters are satisfied with their current coverage. Republicans should be talking about issues they own like crime, public safety, and securing the border. On affordability, the winning message is what they've already delivered in the Working Families Tax Cut—making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, eliminating taxes on tips and overtime, a bigger child tax credit, new deductions for seniors."
