An internal GrayHouse poll, presented by Senator Tom Cotton to Senate Republicans showed broad support for key reforms:

The poll of 1,100 registered voters natiowide and first reported by Axios, showed:

• 57% of voters support work requirements for Medicaid

• 60% support removing waste, fraud, and abuse from the program

• Majorities back eliminating taxes on Social Security and ending taxes on tips

• Strong support was also found for increased border security funding

  
  

Senator Cotton used the findings to emphasize how Republican lawmakers can lead with the most compelling parts of the budget package—economic relief, tax reform, and smart reforms to public programs—when communicating with voters.
