PlayStation Network Under Risk
Yesterday, Sony announced to all PS3 owners with PlayStation Network accounts that the PlayStation Network had been possibly hacked. Sony stated that there was “a possibility of unauthorized access to personal information on the PLAYSTATION Store through PCs, a content download service of the PLAYSTATION Network.”
Leaving many users worried, it is possible that hackers have access to some of their account information. Hackers also might have access to gamers’ accounts to download software or change their password. However, credit card info has been kept private and under no circumstances should hackers be able to retrieve them.
Sony claims that they have patched the network as soon as they noticed the problem. Accounts are still accessible and Sony says that you should not worry about your account anymore.
