The Sims 3 Announced for 2009
EA announced that their mega hit family simulator will make a return on the PC in 2009. The game will feature an open living neighborhood, new personalities for your Sims and a hefty amount of customization. Will Wright, mastermind of the franchise, won’t be developing this title. However, Rod Humble, Head of The Sims Studio had this to say about the new title:
“In The Sims 3, Sims can go beyond the boundaries of their home lot, and immerse themselves in an open, living neighbourhood, interacting with other Sims using our new deeper personality system. It is this type of open-ended gameplay that inspires endless creative possibilities. In addition the new goals and rewards systems will give players of all kinds from core gamers to storytellers the ability to enjoy long-term gameplay.”
And there is some good news for anyone who couldn’t stand helpless Sims; if you have read the latest preview of the game over at 1up they have said that micromanaging bathroom visits and dinner won’t be such a pain now – no more peeing on floors!
