SEGA of America Inc. revealed new details on Aliens: Colonial Marines, a first-person shooter based off the immensely popular film franchise. Developed by Gearbox Software, Aliens will feature the iconic weaponry and locations found in the film franchise as well as new locations made specifically for the game. Sci-fi fans will be happy to know that the game features an original story penned by Bradley Thompson and David Weddle of television’s critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica.

The game will have a story driven single-player campaign as well as four-player co-op. Other multiplayer modes will be announced at a later date. Expect Aliens: Colonial Marines late 2008 on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
