EA Says 2008 and 09′ Will Be Huge

Publisher Electronic Arts has announced a slew of popular titles set to release sometime during 2008 and 2009. In a presentation for industry analysts, games such as Burnout and Skate were talked about. Both franchises will be returning sometime during the fiscal year of 2009.

EA is confident that their new installment of Skate will be able to stand up to the well-established Tony Hawk series. EA Games president Frank Gibeau says that the competition will be expected, but EA knows how to win.

But the announcements didn’t stop there. Mass Effect 2 and 3 were mentioned and EA says that they will be supporting the project for a long time. Other notable games that were announced were a new Lord of the Rings, which seems to be staying with the same formula as previous titles, and a new Need For Speed. The racer will be taken back to what made it great: open worlds considering the sales drop they experienced from NFS: ProStreet.
