Rock Band Confirmed for Wii

For a while now, it has been debated on whether or not the Wii would receive a version of Harmonix’s Rock Band. While Harmonix CEO, Alex Rigopulos, stated that “We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform,” there was never an official announcement of a Wii version. The 2007 holiday season came and went and still no news of a Wii version, that is, until today.

In a conference call with IGN, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello confirmed that a Wii version of Rock band is in the works. While no specifics were given, he did refer to the title by its “coming launch” on the Wii.

No details on any instruments or downloadable content were given.
